I don't know about anyone else, but I am so excited for this new year! I love the feel of a fresh start that it brings; a chance for reflection and dreaming all at once! Dan and I were talking about what we hope to see in 2012, and it got us looking back to last year. We are really excited to make some needed changes going forward, but we decided that we don't regret last year at all. It maybe wasn't the year we had hoped or expected, but we did the best with what we had, and tried to be present in each moment. That is something we want to carry into each year, a willingness to see the best part of each experience, to keep moving through "set-backs" and to be present with our happy little family. We have a motto that we adopted last year that we want to continue to expand on in 2012;
You know when you are really tired and get loopy and act really silly, well toddlers do the same thing. Benjamin discovered how to make himself dizzy - it was quite entertaining. Enjoy.
(the video is kinda long, he really spins just in the beginning...then Frank comes along and distracts him, but get a load of the scream and dance of joy he does for Frank, he loves that cat!)
Ha! It's been a while...I've been meaning to blog for some time now, but in my lame perfectionist way I kept thinking I had to have all my ducks in a row before I could start again. Well, my ducks are still askew, but I'm making a go for the blogoshpere once more!
So over the next few weeks I may do a few retro-active posts, but I figured I would start with the most recent goings-on at the Wysuph household...And they pretty much all revolve around Benjamin! He is seriously the apple of our eye, our little buddy, our bundle of joy! We often say he's our favorite person we know ;0) And he is growing up SO fast! I have had many requests for more photos and video, so, on with the show!
Mr. is now one year old! I will do an entire post on his birthday extravaganza soon, but here are some updates on what the big guy is up to at twelve months of age:
(Thanks to Tori for these cutie photos! Way to go iPhone...)
HE IS IN TO EVERYTHING! The little man is on the go, walking, climbing, opening cupboards and drawers, pulling things off tables, he's a curious one! His little personality is showing more each day; he is determined, observant, easygoing and happy. He is a great eater, a flirt, and loves books, cats, bath-time and his family! I could go on and on, but here, see for your self...
B has quite a few fav foods, cheese, tofu, scrambled eggs, crackers, garlic tamari broccoli, but this is the one thing he is truly obsessed with...Smoothies! He giggles over the sound of the blender. Our vita mix just died, sad day...we need to replace it stat, this kid loves him some smoothies!
Baby proofing is sort of an ongoing thing, B lets us know when it's time to make adjustments...we never know what he'll do next...
This is my favorite new thing, he is truly my son...he's started DANCING! Of course classic baby move, he'll do it until I get the camera out...but I caught the tail end of it here...
Yesterday we took B to his first pumpkin patch! He picked out his very own pumpkin and everything, it was pretty much the cutest thing ever! We can't wait to carve them and roast the seeds, yum!
Hope you enjoyed the cutie patootie...I have so much other stuff to report on; trips, sightseeing adventures, fun in the sun...So here's to many future blog posts!
I can't believe how big my little ducky is getting! He loves to coo and sing and watch himself in the mirror, he can roll over occasionally, and holds his head up better each day . Oh, and the smiles and giggles! He LOVES his bath time, and is sleeping and eating really well (thank you Baby Whisperer!). He is a bit drooly, chomps on his hands, and has random crying spells; possibly the first signs of early teething, poor buddy. We had a photo shoot day to commemorate his 14 week birthday. They were all so cute, it was hard to narrow down, so there are a lot, sorry! Proud mama I guess :0)
